New Business
- December/February Newsletter - need to choose the business of the quarter to highlight. Upcoming holidays in this time frame include New Year's and Valentines Day. Members interested in including a small ad in this publication please contact Lori. Due to growing membership and interest in advertising in the newsletter, the suggestion is to include business name, phone, email and web address along with a 15-word ad. This will allow for 9 ads at the bottom of the newsletter each month and still allow for the same article space we have currently been using. Motion to highlight Terri Baughman with Noah's Ark as business of the quarter and the Miss Mattawan Pageant.
Unfinished Business
- Holiday extravaganza - Does anyone have a truck to pickup suit and throne? Kayla volunteered to pick it up. A diagram was passed around for everyone to choose where they wish to have their booth located. Kids activity area will be run by Miss Mattawan and will do activities for kids ages 5 - 12 for FREE. There will be a PA system if you are doing drawings or giveaways that you wish to announce. Lori passed around copies of press releases in Courier Leader and Gazette. Everyone will work on picking up the lawn signs distributed throughout the area, you may drop them off at Mattawan Chiropractic Clinic, we can change date for next year. Wagoners will be serving food samples, and ReCast will be passing out coffee.
- Holiday Parade/Tree Lighting - Village event, a thank you was received from the Village and Lori shared it with the Board. There was talk about costumes and difficulty moving around, possibly having elves to assist characters next year? Lori mentioned some other strategies used while wearing costumes.
